Richmond Township has two polling precincts. Once you register to vote, you will receive a voter I.D. card stating your exact voting location at Richmond Township. Residents of Richmond Township may register to vote at the Township office or at the Secretary of State branch office. ABSENTEE VOTING INFORMATION
Any registered voter can vote by absentee ballot. They must first apply for an absentee ballot by completing the absentee ballot application. Once the ballot is filled out, it needs to be returned to the clerk's office. It must be signed, dated and an address where to send the ballot to to be accepted. The clerk will then mail an absentee ballot to the address given on the application.
By law, Michigan voters must apply for an absentee ballot for every election. Voters can request to be put on the Permanent Absentee Ballot list which will trigger the automatic mailing of the application in advance of each election. UNIFORMED SERVICE MEMBERS ABSENT VOTING

Military spouses and eligible family members may be covered under the same law that protects military members' absentee voting rights. This means if a military spouse or family member lives outside his/her voting jurisdiction, he/she can vote absentee in all federal elections.
